Live At Bellator 17 At The Wang Theater

Welcome to our live coverage of Bellator 17 here at the Wang Theater...We will be updating throughout the night...

Josh Laberge (5-4) vs. Dan Bonnell (9-6) - Josh Laberge just decimated Dan Bonnell via 1st Round KO.  Laberge is a Joe Lauzon pupil and showed some great stand up skills.  Next up is Carey Vanier (8-2) vs. Toby Imada (24-13)

Carey Vanier (8-2) vs. Toby Imada (24-13) - Carey Vanier started well enough, but slowed down towards the end of the first.  At the end of that round, Imada landed an uppercut that shook Vanier...Saved by the bell.  Vanier came out much more hesitant in the 2nd and ends up tapping due to armbar...Imada moves on.

Roger Huerta (21-3-1) vs. Pat Curran (10-3) - Huerta comes out very hesitant, as Curran lands kick after kick.  Second round was close, Huerta probably gets the round.  Curran comes back and takes it to Huerta in the 3rd.  It's a unanimous decision for Curran who takes it 29-28.  Not a great showing by Huerta.

Josh Neer (27-9-1) vs. Eddie Alvarez (19-2) - Domination.  Alvarez got the better of Neer in the first with ground and pound, with Neer every once and a while landing an up kick.  Second round was some stand up, until Alvarez decided to take it to the floor.  Alvarez gets his back and chokes out Neer with a rear-naked choke.  Neer completely OUT.

Pat Bennet (1-0) vs. Cole Konrad (2-0) - Somewhat uneventful fight, besides the occasional exchange.  Konrad dominated the first by taking Bennett down and landing some ground and pound.  Second round wasn't much, followed by a 3rd round that began well but ended with a fizzle.  Cole Konrad wins via unanimous decision.

That'll do it from the Wang Theater...I hope you enjoyed our coverage here at Boston Throwdown.
