Seymour To Get Franchise Tag
After trading a 2011 first-round pick to the Patriots to get Richard Seymour, The Oakland Raiders seem to be set on keeping the defensive standout. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, The Raiders will use their franchise tag on Seymour if they cannot sign him to a long-term contract extension. Under that scenario, Seymour would be paid $12.398 million next season.
