Bruins Are "Not In It" For Kovalchuk
The Atlanta Thrashers have informed Ilya Kovalchuk that he will be traded sometime in the next few days. But it appears the Boston Bruins are no longer in the chase. A Bruins source told ESPN.com Wednesday night that they are "not in it."
The Bruins had inquired about Kovalchuk several times over the course of the season, including a number of times last week, but the price to acquire Kovalchuk appears too high at this point.
