Joe Mauer Working on Extension with Twins
WCCO-TV reported today that Joe Mauer has come to a preliminary agreement with the Twins on a 10-year contract extension. However, multiple outlets including ESPN and AOL Fanhouse now say the report is inaccurate. Jon Heyman of SI.com reports via Twitter that the team and Mauer are talking a lot but that a deal is not yet done and that a deal will likely be less than 10 years.
