Local College Hoops Struggle
Northeastern (14-8; 9-2 CAA) did bounce back from their loss to Drexel with a 74-64 victory over Old Dominion, but the rest of the Boston Area teams did not have the same fortune. Boston College lost, at home to Florida State 61-57, falling to 12-10 overall and 3-5 in the ACC.
UMass (8-13; 2-5 A10) fell to Charlotte in Atlantic 10 action 72-58. BU (11-11; 6-4 America East) lost to Stony Brook 71-55. And in a game that could decide the automatic bid out of the Ivy League, Harvard (14-4; 3-1) was blown out at Cornell 86-50.
